Takacs McGinnis Acquires CFEVR

Updated: Oct 6, 2022

Have you heard? Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law has acquired the Center for Elder Veterans Rights (CFEVR), a Nashville-based organization that helps elderly and disabled Veterans nationwide access VA benefits.

The acquisition, which was finalized in December 2021, expands Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law’s ability to support Veterans across the country.

Founded in 2009, the Center for Elder Veterans Rights was one of the first organizations in the nation solely focused on helping Veterans qualify for benefits. Since its launch, the Center for Elder Veterans Rights has helped nearly 20,000 Veterans in all 50 states and U.S. territories obtain VA benefits. The organization’s legal practice is strictly limited to serving the needs of elderly disabled Veterans and their family members pertaining to Title 38 Veterans Disability Benefits, specifically Non-Service Connected Pension Benefits and Compensation Benefits.

When the opportunity to purchase the Center for Elder Veterans Rights arose, Takacs McGinnis partners jumped at the chance. “Bringing the Center for Elder Veterans Rights under the supervision of Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law seemed like a perfect fit,” said Attorney Chris Johnson, one of Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law’s partners and a retired Marine. “The Center for Elder Veterans Rights and Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law believe strongly in supporting elderly Veterans and their families, especially those who are struggling to manage health care costs.”
