Hendersonville resident Debra King was named 2016 Social Worker of the Year by Mid-Cumberland Council of Healthcare Social Workers at a ceremony on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at NHC Place at The Trace.
“Debra has been a member of Mid-Cumberland Council of Healthcare Social Workers for twenty years and has been an integral to the success of the organization,” said Amy Walter, Mid-Cumberland’s immediate past president. “Debra is an active member who is always willing to step in where she is needed. From volunteering to serve in various roles on our board of directors to stepping into the state board representative position, Debra embodies the values so vital to the social work profession.”
Debra King is a Licensed Master Social Worker who joined Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law, PLLC as an Elder Care Coordinator in 2006. Her previous experience as a discharge planner with a major Nashville hospital gives her a deep understanding of caregiving needs and challenges during the long-term care journey.
