Nationally known in legal circles, Takacs has been in private practice in the Nashville area since 1980. He is the architect of Life Care Planning, a philosophical approach to elder law that has transformed the way this specialty of law is practiced in the United States. Takacs is a prolific author, contributor, and presenter on the topic of elder law. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Vanderbilt University School of Law.
McGinnis has more than a decade of experience as an elder law attorney. Before receiving her license to practice law in Tennessee, she spent more than two decades working as a Registered Nurse and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner, and nearly ten years as director of nursing services at a large continuing care retirement center in the Nashville area. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Austin Peay State University, a master’s degree as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Nashville School of Law.
Johnson joined Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law in 2018 after accumulating more than two decades of legal and military experience. Prior to his retirement from military service in 2014, Chris had achieved the rank of Major and was heading the Legal Services Support Team serving Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Juris Doctor degree from the College of William and Mary School of Law.
